Nick is a UK-born NZ resident and registered Social Worker with a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work. He has extensive case management experience within health care and social work settings, having worked in both community, and statutory agencies. He also has experience in acute hospital wards managing patient discharge in regard to a variety of health issues. Nick networks and liaises with a variety of NGO and government agencies advocating for client’s assessed needs.
Throughout Nick’s career, he has worked with individuals, families and groups to manage complex situations and in partnership with them, arrange holistic care and appropriate plans to enhance health and wellbeing. He has gained therapeutic skills and understanding in his role in the mental health field and acute hospital wards.
Nick utilises mindfulness skills, ACT, active listening, empathy and reflection. Nick is a people-focused professional with a positive and caring nature and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of people and their families.
