Matthys (Gerry) works in adult mental health services treating a range of mental health conditions. He is interested in the effects and impact of childhood trauma on the adult patients that he sees and is registered for ACC Sensitive Claims particularly for assessments.
Gerry commenced work in mental health services in 1997 and completed his membership exams with the Royal College of Psychiatrist (UK) in 2005. He moved to New Zealand in 2007 and has been working at Whanganui Base Hospital in mental health services ever since, and recently joined LifeCo Psychology to support our trauma work.
