Awhina is an Aotearoa New Zealand trained social worker. She is a pakeha women with with many years experience in a range of settings. She has predominantly worked in health and has specialised in areas of mental health, child protection and health promotion. In other areas of work she has provided parenting support and worked in stopping violence services within communuity agencies.
Awhina is also a trained and experienced supervisor with a private practice delivering professional supervision to social workers and those from other disciplines.
